Look at the impact that encouraging someone can make, ‘to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery.’ We will never know the impact we have until we get to heaven, so do not give up. Keep encouraging with love and faith knowing that you are making a difference one word at a time. Watch with joy as you see the person in front of you change because you choose to speak into their life.

All we want is peace, but life is normally very noisy. Peace is something that comes from the inside of us, as that is where the Prince of Peace lives. Let us enter each day with courage and ready to share hope to this fearful world. Jesus can and will bring peace to every circumstance that surrounds us. Our peace can light the way for those around us.

We can have great confidence as we rest in the peace of Jesus. Pass it on.

God sent His only Son into this world as a blessing for us. Let us remember all that Jesus has done for us. In this chaotic world Jesus is the prince of peace. Jesus is our strength and wisdom; He counsels us on every matter in our lives. No matter what is happening all around let us draw close to our saviour and embrace the joy that is set before us. Sing joyfully to the Lord of hosts and hear all of heaven join in the celebration of praise.

We are holy because He who lives inside of us is holy.

Words, especially God’s Words are what give us life. Are we speaking life, are we speaking God’s Words? We like to blame everyone else and everything around us for what is wrong in our lives. But stop, is it the words we are speaking that are actually the course. If we cannot think of what words to speak then we have the Word of God to turn to and read His Words over our lives.

When the Israelites entered the Promised land flowing with milk and honey the manna stopped. Why, because God had provided abundantly for them. Then God sent the new bread from Heaven, Jesus. We are abundantly provided for in Jesus, fully equipped, rescued, set apart and all our needs met. Eat from the true bread from Heaven, Jesus.

In Jesus we have entered the Promised land.

All around could be being destroyed but God can protect us. When the walls of Jericho came down only those in Rahab’s home survived and she lived on the wall. God can pinpoint us in a vast desert or a vast city. Jesus knows exactly where we are and He knows how to rescue us. ‘Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit says the Lord.’ We do not rely on earthly things but on a mighty God.

They followed the instructions to the letter; they did not add or take away. They only marched 7 times around on the last day, then Joshua said shout, with one accord, united, they shouted. God stepped in and the walls came down. What does God want us to do so that He can destroy any walls that are in our way, He has given us the victory.

“And they returned to camp.” Sometimes we need to return to base, we must always make sure we rest. As we rest, we can listen for the voice of God, we can get refreshed, we can feed on The Word. It is good to make time to assess where we are and to check we have not gone off course. Stop and listen.

There is a time for us to be quiet and just go forward in what God has asked us to do. It does not matter what everyone else is doing, we have to be obedient to what God wants us to do. Our time will come and God will say “start shouting.” God’s timing is perfect; we cannot rush it or push it along. God knows what needs to be put into place before our time is right. Trust.

Can you imagine how the ground must have shuck as the people walked around the wall, how terrifying that must have been. Then on the seventh day the blast of the horn with all those people shouting, then the rumble of the walls giving way. All of heaven probably joined in with a cheer, what a celebration. Expect those walls to come down, God is doing the work.
