⁵⁰ Then Jesus looked him in the eyes and said, “Go back home now. I promise you, your son will live and not die.”

The man believed in his heart the words of Jesus and set off for home.

‘The man believed in his heart’ do we believe? When we ask do we believe that Jesus has done it? God’s Word says I am healed so I will go in my healing because the truth of God’s Word is greater than the facts of this world. Jesus gives us life in all its fullness and we need to walk in that truth if we are going to receive it. We can believe the words of Jesus.

¹³ I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living!

How do we know that we will ‘look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living?’ By waiting on God and He will show us. God is not hiding anything from us He is not holding back. God wants to shower us with His blessings but we have to put faith to work, we have to believe. We can only do this if we are putting the Word of God in to our lives.

1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV)

⁷ Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Is our love for God enough that we are willing to endure no matter what? God does not promise an easy road but He does promise He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus endured the cross so that we can connect with God again. Do we believe in all Jesus has done for us, yes, then we can endure to the end? We need to choose to love believe and hope in Jesus.

⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, ⁹ not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

We have been saved from eternal torment because we chose to believe in Jesus and all He has done for us. We have been given the free gift of life in abundance because of grace. It is our choice to believe, it is our choice to receive, and it is our choice to love. ‘We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us’ we just need to believe.

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

Jesus instructs us here not to let our hearts be troubled. The world has so much trouble in it but we can live in peace because we believe in the Prince of Peace. Jesus also instructs us to believe in God and to believe in Him, Jesus asks us to do nothing that we are not able to do.

Just believe and receive peace

⁶ But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

When we ask we are to believe and not doubt no matter what we see in the natural. We are to believe always and forever we should never stop believing. Sometimes we have to wait to see our answer and we are to keep believing until our answer comes.

Hebrews 11:7 (NIV)

⁷ By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

Noah believed God and built the Ark as God asked even though nothing had been done like it before. Noah believed God even though he did not have the bible like we do. Noah just believed and his family were saved.

Just because we have not seen or heard God do something does not mean He cannot do it that way now. Do not limit God He knows more than we do and He has no limits except those we put on Him.

Believe in God He is able

Hebrews 11

Dear Daughter of Almighty God

Only believe

Mark 5:36 (ESV)

³⁶ But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”

Jairus had come to Jesus because his daughter was close to death and on the way to the house a messenger came to give the news that it was too late, the daughter was dead. Jesus said “Do not fear, only believe.” Jesus raised the daughter back to life.

To see Jesus come through for us we need to ‘only believe’. Jesus can and will be there for us if we believe. Believe in what, believe in all Jesus has done for us, believe the Word of God, and believe that Jesus is able and willing to answer us.

Only believe is the answer and the way to go through.
