Dear Daughter of Almighty God

James 2:14-17 (ESV)

14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

For me this means I need to put my faith in to action words are not enough. Yes we need to speak Gods Word but we need to put action to those words. I am to love my neighbour but I need to show it not just say it. Who is my neighbour anyone who is right there in front of me at the time.

It is no good thinking well so and so will help, they will provide. It is up to each and every one of us to be looking how we can be a blessing to the person in front of us. It is no good looking to bless a person who will be able to give back a gift, look for someone who is unable to give back. Don’t give to receive God knows the motives of our heart. You can give in secret the person you give too does not need to know where it came from. God knows where it came from and your reward will come from Him.

Faith and action works on every area of our lives. Abraham’s faith took his action as far as being ready kill Isaac which opened up the way for God to sacrifice His son for us. God stopped Abraham at the last second but God knew Abraham’s heart and He knew Abraham would go through with it. God will not ask us to go as far as Abraham so let’s put some action with our faith and see God work miracles.

Faith needs movement.

Your loving sister Amanda
