Dear Daughter of Almighty God
Psalm 23 (ESV)
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
I was reading this Psalm and started thinking about what it means to me. Shepherds in Israel lead their sheep from one feed area to the other and the sheep know their shepherd. If you saw sheep being pushed from behind it was because the shepherd was not there and it was the hired hands that where looking after the sheep.
With this in mind.
God my guide, provider, healer and protector who meets my every need.
He gives me rest and refreshes me.
Renews me, straightens my path to show what a glories God He is.
No matter where I walk there is nothing to fear. Your arms are there to comfort me and hold me.
As my enemies rage, you set out my life before me. Your oil refreshes me your blessings overflow in my life.
Blessings and favor flood my life.
I shall have an intimate relationship with My Lord, My God, My King forever and ever.
We are Gods precious children.
Your loving sister Amanda
